Rural Country Estate

A multifaceted brief to develop a masterplan for a newly built country house set within its own parkland.

The clients wanted a garden that would; settle the new house into the landscape, allow their young family to grow and develop and take influence from their own artistic backgrounds and love of far eastern culture.

Developed as a series of dynamic spaces the design encourages a walking meditation with way points, destinations and wild ramblings providing no fixed intention of how the garden should be used. Intended to evoke rather than impose the garden allows for all generations to take different meanings and pleasure from their environment.
